Emergency Services

Emergency assistance for food, clothing, rent, utilities and more.  Distributes FEMA Funds and Project SHARE Funds.  Helps with utilities, Offers some medical assistance.  Provides case work and case management services.  Provides information, referral services along with case advocacy.


Case Management

Evaluates client’s situation and offers assistance, referral and follow-up.  Works with client intensively to remove barriers to self-sufficiency.  Maintains bulletin boards for job opportunities and other resource agencies for clients.  Works to prevent homelessness.


Project REACH

Resources for Educational Advancement of Children

This program serves low-income school-age children throughout Baldwin County by providing school supplies and financial assistance of fees to help children greet the school year with an equal opportunity.  Their work is to get an education; our work is to help them acquire this achievement!


Ozanam Pharmacy

Gives uninsured, low-income earners prescription medicines through a Ozanam Pharmacy at Catholic Social Services in Mobile.  Eligible clients will receive medication freely for up to six months.  Also works with pharmaceutical charity programs to establish  qualifications and continuity. This program helps primarily with maintenance medicines.


Project Christmas

Christmas Sharing is an annual project  designed to share the meaning of Christmas by providing food, toys and gift items through a coordinated community effort.  Each child receives three brand new gifts to represent the gifts presented to baby Jesus on His special day.  We also host a special project with Catholic Ladies of Charities for elderly or home bound persons providing charming holiday bags filled with little gifts and great love.


Therapeutic Counseling

Program is staffed by a master’s level therapist who is a Licensed Professional Counselor.  Counseling is a process for understanding difficult life issues.  Fees are based on a sliding scale so that counseling is affordable.   Insurance may cover some costs.


Legal Immigration Services

Catholic Social Services is recognized by the U. S. Board of Immigration Appeals (DHS) to provide legal assistance in immigration matters.  Accredited staff offer help in family reunion matters along with pathways to citizenship.  Catholic Social Services works with all people regardless of their immigration status.


Disaster Services

Catholic Social Services is an early responder for disaster relief services.  Staff and volunteers provide emergency assistance, information and referral services.  Through our partnership with the United Way and Catholic Charities, a wide array of resources becomes available.  Additionally, the Bay Area Food Bank gave us a freezer unit especially for disaster relief.  Donations of personal hygiene items, clothing, and household goods are distributed.  Volunteers provided a vital contribution to disaster response efforts.  We  work with local victims and evacuees.
